FILCOLS attended the 4th National COCOPEA (Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations) Congress held at the Main Court, 2L, Quadricentennial Pavilion, University of Santo Tomas, Manila last 28-29 February
2012.
The event was attended by more than 700 executives from the private education institutions all over the country. The theme of the Congress was Reforming Philippine Education: Issues, Challenges and Solutions. It was none other than President Benigno Simeon Aquino III who gave the keynote address.
For two days, FILCOLS distributed hundreds of membership forms and FILCOLS Primer to the delegates who visited the exhibitors' area. Trinity University of Asia showed their interest to hold a lecture/seminar on copyright and IP for the next school year. Professors from Angeles University Foundation, Technological Institute of the Philippines Manila, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College in General Santos City, Academy of St. John, Sta. Clara, General Trias, Cavite, Columban College in Olongapo, Bicol College in Daraga, Albay, University of Luzon,Southern Christian College in North Cotabato and Emilio Aguinaldo College Manila are requesting for further communications regarding copyright and IP seminars to be held in their school.
A professor from Davao and another from Kalinga signed as FILCOLS members on the spot.
The 4th National COCOPEA Congress was organized by PAPSCU, PACU, CEAP, ACSCU and TEVSAPHIL.
