FILCOLS is the collective management organization (CMO) officially accredited by the government through IP Philippines to collectively administer, license, and enforce the right of reproduction of authors, publishers, and other right holders in the text and image sector. FILCOLS is a member of the Brussels-based International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organizations (http://www.ifrro.org/).

FILCOLS was ON AIR
Last 13 December 2010, FILCOLS was invited in DWNX Plus to give a short talk about the organization and copyright in general.
The anchors of the radio program inquired about FILCOLS. Alvin Buenaventura, FILCOLS' Executive Director, gamely answered their questions. Then he invited the writers from the Bicol Region to join FILCOLS Huntahan sa Naga, an informal discussion for writers about writing, publishing, copyright and intellectual property. It would be held at the Ateneo de Naga University on 14 December 2010.
Atty. Mark Robert Dy, copyright consultant of IP Philippines, was also present. He discussed the objectives of IP Phils. and its projects that benefit the Filipino inventors, artists and creators. Introduction about UMPIL followed shortly. It was given by Abdon Balde, Jr. UMPIL’s chairperson. Bebang Siy, the Executive Officer of FILCOLS, was also asked to give a short message. She invited everyone especially the students to join FILCOLS’ IP in the Age of Jejemon lecture at the ADNU, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The event ended with a photo-op and a thank you message to Mr. Al Ubaña and Mr. Jose Jason Chancoco, a Kabulig member who made this event possible.
DWNX Plus is the leading radio program in Naga City. It is under the Radio Mindanao Network station. With a talk show format, it discusses issues from current events in a serious and yet light tone. Anchors are station manager and veteran radio personality Al Ubaña and Ed Ventura.
