FILCOLS visits a law school in the South
FILCOLS or Filipinas Copyright Licensing Society, Inc. paid the College of Law of the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC) a visit in the morning of 14 December 2010.
Retired Judge Corazon A. Tordilla, the College of Law Dean, received FILCOLS Group in her office with warmth and openness. Alvin Buenaventura of FILCOLS, Atty. Mark Robert Dy of IPO Philippines and Abdon Balde, Jr. of UMPIL introduced to Dean Tordilla their respective organizations and agency. Alvin mentioned the ongoing recruitment of Rex Publishing as a member of FILCOLS and its significance in licensing agreement with law schools.
Literary writer and UNC Law School student Jose Jason Chancoco was the coordinator for this particular visit. He was also the one who reminded Dean Tordilla about the upcoming IP and copyright lecture/forums in Ateneo. She persuaded Jason to invite all of his classmates. The Dean also showed interest in holding an IP and copyright lecture/forum in their university in the future. She said she believes that it is the studentry that will benefit the most with this kind of project.
The visit ended with a photo-op.
