FILCOLS on TV with Lisa Macuja, ang Ballerina ng Bayan

'Art 2 Art' announces new episodes

Art 2 Art presents one of its most special episodes as National Artist Bienvenido Lumbera discusses the life and works of fellow writer and National Artist for Literature Lazaro Francisco on February 26, Sunday, 3:30 to 4 p.m., via DZRH.

“It is indeed a great opportunity for us to have Dr. Lumbera as a resource person to talk about the late Lazaro Francisco who Filipino novels, as serialized in Liwayway Magazine, tackled social issues that remain relevant today,” says host Lisa Macuja.

The episode on Francisco is part of Art 2 Art's tribute series on National Artists aired every last Sunday of the month.

Art 2 Art also features the following guests in its upcoming episodes: Filipino-American tenor Arthur Espiritu, the second Filipino to perform at the legendary La Scala opera house in eight decades (February 12); Alvin Buenaventura, executive director of the Filipinas Copyright Licensing Society (FILCOLS), a private organization mandated by authors, publishers, and other rightsholders of printed works to enforce their economic rights and moral rights (February 19); and Arlene Briones, Shayla Sanchez and Danielle Tan, the photographers behind Boudoir Dolls which specializes in “boudoir photography” catering specifically to women.

Produced by the Manila Broadcasting Company, Art 2 Art is aired nationwide every Sunday, 3:30 to 4 p.m., on DZRH (666 khz on the AM band), and can be viewed simultaneously via RHTV on Cablelink Channel 9 and on the Internet through the website http://dzrh.tripod.com.
